Dr. Rachel Franklin is a Board Certified Family Medicine specialist and Associate Professor of Family and Preventive Medicine at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, where her clinical focus is on Women’s and Children’s Health. She maintains a private practice and serves as Course Director in Family Medicine, teaching approximately 200 medical students and resident physicians each year. Dr. Franklin is also the author of “Expecting Twins, Triplets and More: a Doctor’s Guide to a Healthy and Happy Multiple Pregnancy” (St. Martin’s Griffin 2005).
Dr. Franklin is an invited expert for numerous media outlets, including MomLogic.com, Parents, FitPregnancy, and ePregnancy Magazines, The Boston Herald, The Learning Channel, Ivanhoe Group television and Life Network (Canada). She speaks frequently to community and business groups and to media on a variety of health topics. She also provides routine academic lectures on the topics of practice management, diabetes, pulmonology, obstetric care, well baby care and childhood and adult immunizations. She serves on the Board of Directors for Prevent Child Abuse Oklahoma and on the Child Health Advisory Task Force of the Oklahoma Health Care Authority.
She is married to Benjamin Franklin and has seven-year-old twins.
